Auf Wiedersehen

So long, farewell
Auf Wiedersehen, goodnight

Perhaps you guessed what this is about, the title sort of gives it away... Alas, I've decided to leave this little blog of mine. I've really enjoyed blogging, but I really don't have the time for it. During the year I dance and go to school and right now I'm working five days a week. Don't fret though, I'm still on the internet, you can check out my Pinterest, my Tumblr, my Twitter and my Instagram (@moiratfs). So long!

I kept things simplistic and classic with my favourite cuffed tapered trousers, breton tee, and natural hair for a day of studying and Starbucks. Unfortunately exam week is this coming  week, so the stress is really starting to settle in :/ I'm quite the little procrastinator (I took these photos while I should have been studying pre-cal) so I'm going to really have to buckle down and work these next few days! Hope your weekend is lovely.

I'm wearing: Breton tee - The Bay; Trousers - Joe Fresh; Hat - Vintage; Sandals - The Bay; Clutch - Chapters; Belt - Dynamite

Inspiration Wall

1960's Kodak; Ingrid Bergmans and Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca; Lucy Maud Montgomery's
"In Lovers' Lane"; Pattie Boyd

1960's convertible; Marilyn Monroe; 1960's Cadillac

"Alice In Wonderland" sketch; 1930's gal; Pale hands, pretty flowers

Pattie Boyd; 1960's New York; 1960's United Airlines ad; 1960's projector; Vintage sewing machine

In case you hadn't noticed the 1960's are a continual source of inspiration for me. The music, the fashion, the art, I love it all! But not the racism and sexism. Any who, I put all these photos on my wall last summer, and I still love it. The majority of these photos are ads from 1960's National Geographics, but there is also a Nancy Drew page, a poem, an Alice In Wonderland page and sketch, Vogue photos, UO tags, and prints off the internetI've another inspiration wall going up at the moment, all swinging London photos, but that's still a work in progress. Once it's placed exactly as I want I'll be sure to share :) Have a lovely weekend.

White Wash

These photos come from a couple of weeks ago because a) The weather sucks, and b) I have shingles :( Not to be a whiner, but shingles really are the very worst. I've been spending all of my time on the internet trying to distract myself from the pain with tumblr and Pinterest. Alas, gifs only distract you for so long. Considering I don't have the motivation to get out of bed, expect an inspiration or wish list post soon! Sorry for the belly aching, have a wonderful weekend!

I'm Wearing: Top - Forever21; Belt - Dynamite; Pants - Vero Moda; Shoes - Converse; Sunglasses - Garage

Chambray Daze

So this is my take on the denim shirt trend. They aren't exactly my style, so I had to make it a tad more girly with a lace dress and just because it's so nice and summery outside I omitted the shoes and added a braided headband. My weekend's been hectic, 2 days of dance competitions, applying for jobs, and mother's day! On a side note, yes, I really am that pale :/

I'm Wearing: Chambray Shirt - Target; Lace Dress - Local Boutique

Sunday, 5 May 2013

Hooray, a new outfit post! I realized my last outfit post was from over 4 months ago... ooops. But outfit posts will (fingers crossed) be more frequent seeing as winter is (FINALLY) over, as much as I love winter, 6 months is a bit excessive.

I've never really gone in for the maxi skirt trend- I just feel they're meant for average/tall girls, and I am neither- but I just love the print on this one, and it's incredibly comfortable. I paired it with a lace shirt and some Oxfords, to make it more my style.

I'm Wearing: Skirt - Vintage; Top - Suzy Shier; Oxfords - Thrifted

1.My new favourite necklace 2.Chai tea latte and vanilla bean scone 3.Bedroom wall 4. My very first selfie!

Ugh, it's been over a month since my last post! Woops, I'd rattle off my excuses about school, dance and the weather, but you've heard them all before. Moving on, I just got an iPhone 5! Hopefully this will help me update this little blog more often. I've yet to get Instagram, but when I do, you'll be the first to know! Until then you can follow me on PinterestTwitter and Tumblr.

I'm a HUGE Downton Abbey fan. I've watched every episode and have my favourite (Branson <3) and least favourite (Robert). It's really incredibly well done. The acting, sets, and (of course) costumes are all superb. I've really no idea what to do with myself until series 4 next winter, especially after that ending to series 3 :( So in an attempt to fill the void here's a few of my favourite costumes.

That necklace of Mary's is stunning, so very classy.

I don't usually focus on Cora's clothing, but this dress/jacket/hat were too beautiful to skip over. The detailing on the coat is what really draws me in.

Mary's wedding dress, simple but lovely.

Edith's hair. Those finger waves!

This daring outfit of Sybil's was by far my favourite from all 3 series.

Just because :)

So there you have it, my favourite costumes... and Allen Leech! I don't doubt there will be another Downton post in the future, so hopefully you enjoy this period drama as much as I do!

January sunset, enjoying a cup of tea in my favourite mug, lace curtains, writing more often, xmas gift map

Just a few photos from the last month or so. I really am the most inconsistent blogger... But I have plans for this space!  I've got so many outfits I want to post, but it's too cold outside and taking photos inside is less than ideal. It will be at least another month until all the snow has melted, and then everything will be disgustingly slushy, but spring isn't that far away! In the meantime I've got an article to work on (more on that another time), a hectic dance schedule and I've been pinning things on pinterest like mad!
